Corporate Events
The corporate events for this semseter:
Candidates must attend at least one of these three corporate events.
Deadlines Approaching
This Friday at 5 pm is the deadline for the following items:
- Dues ($80)
- Pick up Bent
- Candidate Information Sheet
- Contract of Understanding
- Electronic Resume
- Candidate Cards
- Sign up for Big Event (if you choose that as your service event)
These can be taken care of during office hours, which are posted under the "Office" tab above. The electronic resume can be emailed to Jose at tbp.tamu.candidate@gmail.com. The first bent polishing is also coming up soon. It will be Wednesday, February 22 at 7:00pm ZACH 322. You can find polishing instructions and a list of supplies under the "Pledging" tab. Make sure you bring your bent and supplies with you. If you have not received a bent yet, you can pick one up at the bent polishing, but you need to pay your dues first.
Tau Beta Pi is going to do Big Event together. If you are interested in doing this as your service event, then you will need to sign up with our group. Go to http://bigeventonline.tamu.edu/signup and enter this Access Code: C19C4-00227. You must sign up before Friday, Februrary 24 if you wish to participate in Big Event.
We have a lot of great events planned for this semester, and we are excited about them!
Spring 2012
We will be kicking things off for the spring semester with informationals for eligible candidates. If you wish to join you must attend one of the dates below. Food and drinks will be provided!

Our spring picinic is coming up soon too! It will be on Sunday, Februrary 19th at John Crompton Park. Members are encouraged to attend, and it is mandatory for candidates. As usual, we will be grilling up some great food. We hope to see everyone there.
Induction
The induction and banquet are Sunday, November 20th. Dress is business professional. The banquet will be held at 6:15 in the Sbisa Quiet Room (the room on the right when you first walk in). The induction will follow in Rudder 504 where your bents will be returned to you. The induction itself will start at approximately 8:15. You must attend induction to become a member.
Reminders for Candidates
Bents and tracking sheets must be turned in by 5:00 pm on Friday, November 18th. Please make sure your name is on your tracking sheet, and then place both your tracking sheet and your bent in an envelope. Write your name on the envelope and turn it in to our office (Zach 122B) or slide it under the door. If you need an envelope, there are some on the office door.
If you missed an event, you can sign up for the T-Shirt fundraiser. We have one hour time slots on Thursday and Friday, and each shift will count towards one missed event. Also, Jose sent out his candidate checklist file, so look at that to make sure that our records match yours. If you have questions about this file or would like to sign up for the fundraiser, email Jose at tbp.tamu.candidate@gmail.com.
Induction will be held on the evening of Sunday, November 20th. Business attire is required. Additional information will be sent out soon.

Bent Polishing Social
We only have two social events left. The first of them is tonight.

The second will be on November 9th at 7:00 pm. Candidates must attend two social events.
Also, we are officially moved into our office in Zachry 122B. It is in the far back, right corner when you come in the front door.
Pumpkin Carving Social
We will be carving pumpkins Friday, October 21 at 5:00pm as our next social event. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to tbp.socialchair@gmail.com by Thursday, October 13 at 12:00am.
Sandia National Labs
Our next corporate event is Sandia National Labs. They will be speaking about career opportunities and will be accepting resumes for full- time positions, internships, and co-ops. Candidates must attend at least one corporate event. There will be free food.
